That is not necessarily a bad thing in and of itself - it feels OK to type on, but the sounds it makes betray just how low quality a product this actually is inside the fancy space grey aluminium case. somewhere between the 2015 and earlier scissor switch keys and the widely despised 2016+ butterfly keys.
It is similar to the keyboard on the new 16" MacBook Pro in terms of feel, i.e.
The "magic" keyboard has significantly less key travel compared with the old one. The video attached gives an example of this compared to my (admittedly in need of a good clean) A1243. The cursor keys in particular make an awful noise. It is ergonomically subpar and it makes sounds that are frankly offensive to my ears. I am very, very disappointed in this "magic" keyboard. I bought this to replace my much beloved Apple wired keyboard model A1243 which is sadly giving out after many years faithful service and numerous spills.
